The ICH Board has approved to continue a second educational scholarship as a result of a donation of $2500 from the Panilla Foundation. Selection criteria includes recommendation by the school's Academic Program Manager, financial need, grades, SAT score, and other school performances. The first recipient of this scholarship was a 2022 graduate from Westside High School, continuing his education at the University of Houston.

Scholarships go further than just being financial aid for many students; they open the doors of opportunity to a better future for both the recipient and their community. Scholarship funds are paid directly to the university. As a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, ICH is able to receive funds from both public and private foundations, such as, the Panilla Foundation. The ICH Board is then set to the task to approve final use of the funds in a manner that reflects the ideals of both entities.
